Christopher and Melanie Wright, the passionate owners of Flinders Aquatic Academy, have been immersed in the world of swimming for over 30 years. Both Chris and Mel had remarkable careers as competitive swimmers, reaching the pinnacle of their sport at the Olympic Games. Their profound love for swimming has continued to drive their involvement in the aquatic community even after retiring from professional swimming.

Located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, our swim school is dedicated to providing high-quality swimming lessons and aquatic programs for individuals of all ages and skill levels. Flinders Phoenix:
Flinders Phoenix is a not-for-profit competitive swim team affiliated with Swimming Queensland. The Phoenix is a growing community of swimmers and supportive families, who’s collective goal is to see young athletes thrive both in and out of the pool.
